Your car can infect you with COVID-19

From January our life has been changed due to the coronavirus impact which started from China. Till date, we are strongly fighting with this new virus. Coronavirus has forced us to alter our life and to take measures to disallow us getting from infected. You can find about this everywhere from phone caller tune to the internet so I am not gonna talk about that but I will talk which is also an important thing which how to clean our car in these circumstances. Because there are germs, bacteria and viruses settle in our car at various places like the dashboard, steering wheel, seats etc. We use our vehicles for buying daily groceries, to taking our loved ones to the doctor, so it is necessary to clean our car promptly to avoid infection of Covid-19. 

  

Here are some points which will help in preventing you from getting infected by Covid-19.

·        Do Vacuum Periodically:

   Every day your car attracts the dust and it stays there until you clean it. So it’s the best advice is to clean the car with Vacuum regularly. Srub and properly wash carpets, floors, pedals and cargo space. This all is important and should be cleaned properly.

·        Do Steering Wheels:

In-car you are in more contact with a steering wheel than any other surface. Think about this you purchase the fruits, vegetables and other grocery products and you have touched the steering wheel before that which is infected. It may help you must keep the pack of disinfecting wipes in your car.

·        Notice Grey areas:

There are so many places are there in your car where you don’t come in direct contact. Some of the names are headrest, window glass etc. This places also need to be cleaned up.

·        Clean the air conditioner:

The HVAC unit circulates the air in the car and it is possible that they can be carrying the COVID-19 viruses. It is advisable to deep clean the complete system till air filter. Due to lockdown, it is not possible to take it to the mechanics to open the HVAC unit, so till now, you can use the disinfected cleaners.

·        Store Sanitizers and masks:

Always keep the masks and small sanitizer bottle in your car. Although keep the small kit of masks, sanitizers, wet wipes etc. useful things in your glove compartment. The wet wipes will help to clean high touch surfaces.

·        Liquid Soap:

Soap is made up of acid and it is capable of killing germs, bacteria and viruses. Anti-bacterial soaps are also available in the market but according to FDA, it is not proven how much anti-bacterial soap is useful and how it will affect our health in the long term. So liquid soap is advisable.

·        Bleach:

Bleach is known for its smell and killing bacteria and viruses. This property is useful for disinfecting your car. To kill the COVID-19 virus this can be your ideal choice.

·        Hand Sanitizer:

We all know the importance and feature of hand sanitizer and during the outbreak of COVID-19 we have seen the sale growing rapidly. This sanitizer contains ethyl alcohol which is an important ingredient to kill the coronavirus.

CAR QUARANTINE

As due to lockdown and compulsion quarantine, it directly affects your driving habits. It is possible you may not use the car for several weeks. Let’s face the fact that this car is just a machine and the machine is required to start. Not daily but once a week you need to use the car, going for grocery it is the perfect time to use your car.
